The best way to discover the local culture, food and lifestyle of a city is by walking so you don’t miss a thing. From the local farmer’s markets to the art exhibits – everything feels more vibrant when you take your time discovering local spots and hidden gems by foot. Which is why good footwear is so important on a daily basis and while traveling.
I was recently sent a pair of mahabis flow and am so impressed by how comfortable, flexible and stylish they are! I’ll admit that I was skeptical about wearing so-called “slippers” outdoors and the unisex nature of this shoe, but the pair really contoured around my heels and now I’m completely in love with my mahabis flow.
So far, I’ve explored all day in Edinburgh (which has plenty of steep walking) and Lisbon (which also has lots of inclines and cobblestones), and my feet did not feel the familiar discomfort that is followed by spending the day out and about.
There’s a couple of clever designs of the mahabis flow that really make a difference. The ergonomic neoprene heel and adaptable foam footbed moulds to your foot for the perfect fit. The back of each slipper features a slip that wraps around the back of your heel, keeping your foot in place. For someone who regularly has the back of their heels torn by stiff and unforgiving heels, the mahabis flow is a gamechanger! Pulling the slippers out the bag, they seemed almost weightless, which is great for keeping your packing minimal. Even in the summer heat, my mahabis were well-ventilated as the material is breathable. I could really let go and just enjoy my everyday adventures without feeling hindered.
For a city commuter and frequent traveler like myself, the mahabis flow is perfect for exploring and wandering. Simple and clean, the flow is minimalistic – designed to be worn with most outfits, and whilst at home or out and about.
The mahabis flow come in seven summer colours, you can check them out here.
